Today was our final day to do the essay, it was our last day to proof read, write and edit our essay. All I had to do today was to proof read my essay. When I was done I printed it out and handed it in. The next step of this unit is to make a powerpoint and so what I did for the rest of the lesson was find pictures for the power point.

Today i finished my bibliography at the start of the lesson and then the entire i was proof reading my work. I had a lot of grammar mistakes that i fixed. I changed a lot of sentences because they didn't make a lot of sense when i was reading them. I had to take out some sentences because it was repeated, hopefully next lesson I will continue proof reading my essay and by the end of the lesson i will print out my essay and hand it in.    

Today i started writing my last paragraph for my essay which was my concluding paragraph. It took me about half the lesson to finnish my concluding paragraph when i was done i started doing my bibliography. Thank fully by the end of the lesson i finished my paragraph. I have two more lesson until i have to hand in my so in these nest two lessons i'll be proof reading my work. 

Today i was working on my third paragraph which is about my third characteristic education. The goal for this lesson was to finnish the essay, unfortunately i didn't finnish my essay i just have one paragraph which is the concluding paragraph. We were informed today that the essay was do in on Thursday. I'm hoping that next lesson i'll finnish my concluding paragraph and my bibliography and that the other two lessons i'll for proof reading my work.   

Today i started writing my second paragraph which was about my second characteristic religion. The first thing i did was spread out my cards for religion and i organized them. After organizing my cards i made a plan for how I'm going to write my paragraph. When i started writing my paragraph there were a lot of information so i had to remove a lot of sentences to make the essay fit the word count. Mrs. Korbatits told us that by this lesson we should at least finnish our second characteristics and thankfully i did, i thought i wouldn't finnish because i started a day late but i worked hard and really focused so i accomplished my goal.   

Today i started writing my second paragraph which was going to be about my 1st characteristic which was ancient Roman jobs. The first thing i did was i took all my cards for my characteristic jobs and i organized them. After i did that i made a plan of how i was going to organize the cards to make a paragraph, i started writing my paragraph. The paragraph was easier to write than the one before because i had all the information in front of me.  

Today we started writing our essays. The whole class started yesterday but i was absent so I had to catch up. The first thing was i planned my introduction paragraph. Then when I was done planning i started writing my paragraph. I had to change it a lot because when ever i wrote something and then read it again it didn't sound very good but finally i wrote a really go introduction paragraph.   

Today I didn't go to school because I was ill, but i still researched a bit about education in Ancient Rome.  

Today we went to the lab to work on the online resources and on the internet. I found a really good website : ( http://www.crystalinks.com/romeducation.html) that had a lot of good information about Ancient Roman education. I still need to find some more information about my characteristic education, but the problem is that this is the last day. I will have to work at home to get enough information for my characteristic education. The research questions I was working on was

" What subjects/topics were learnt?" and " How were they taught ". all in all today was a good day but i still have to work at home to find more information about my charcyteristic education.

As usual to day we went to the lab to work on the online resources and on the internet. I wroked on the internet to try to find some information about Ancient Roman education. I found a really good website : ( http://www.buzzle.com/articles/ancient-roman-education.html ) it had a lot of good information about Ancient Roman education. The research question i was working on was " Who went to school ". I have a lot of information about jobs buti still need some more information about religion and education. Hopefully next lesson i'll find the information i need. Next lesson ill focus on finding an answer to all my research questions because there are still some that i havent answered.

Today we went to the labd to keep working on the online resources and on the internet. I kept on working on the internet today because i have found more useful information on the internet than on the online reosurces. I found a really good website : ( http://www.roman-colosseum.info/roman-life/ancient-roman-jobs.htm) it has a lot of good information about Ancient Roman Jobs. I really needed to find more information about jobs and thankfully today I did. The research question I was working on was " What were their jobs? " and " Did their jobs affect their religion ". I have a good amount of card for my charcteristics religion and jobs but I need a lot more card about my charcteristic education. I hope that next lesson I find a really good website about education so I can have a good amount of cards to write the essay.

Today we went to the lab to work on the online resources and on the internet. I didn't go on the online resources i was looking at the information on the internet. I found a really good website : ( http://www.historyforkids.org/learn/romans/ ). It had a lot of good information about Roman religion and Roman Education but I didn't find information about Roman jobs, but hopefully i'll find information about Roman jobs next lesson. The research question I was looking at for religion was " Did religion affect the people? ". The research question i was looking at in for educatio was " How does education help the civilization? ".

We working on the online resources this lesson. I just found out that we just have 3 or 4 more days of researching left. We have 2 more lessons on the online resources then one mor on the internet and then the final day we start working on the plan for our research paper. Today I found a lot of good information, it was a great online resource called Britanica Online http://school.eb.co.uk/. I found a lot of good information about education and a little about religion. The research question I was working on for education was "Who went to school?", "What were the subjects/topics learnt?" and "who went to school?". The research question i was working on for religion was "Is there more than one religion in the country?". This online resource was very good and i hoping to use it again and tey to use the other online resources as well as this one, I'm hoping I find a lot of good information in them.

Today we were working on the online resources, I was working on my charachteristic jobs. The research question I was working on was ' What were the jobs' and 'How long did they work?'. I found a lot of good information about jobs in ancient Rome. I'm finding it difficult to find information about the education in ancient Rome. The websites that I find usually have a lot of information about religion mostly then jobs. I hope that next lesson I find a good website that has good information about education in ancient Rome.

Today we kept working on the online resources, i found a really good website that had a lot of good informaion about the religion in ancient Rome. I was working on the research question ' Is there more than one religion in the country. I was researching on how Christianity became the number one religion in Rome, and if people didn't beleive in the same religion they would get persecuted. I'm hoping to work on jobs in the next lesson because i dont have a lot of information about that charachteristic.

Today we went to the multimedia lab to work on the online resources. I was look through the online resources until i found a good website. I found a good website that answered one of my research questions which was asking where the romans used to sell and trade there items and that place is Pompeii which i found an entire article about. I finished that article right on time. I hope that next lesson i can find a really good website about my other characteristics.  

Today i didn't go to school because i was ill. I researched a bit about jobs. 

Today we didn't go to the library we went to the multimedia lab to start working on the online resources. For me I think that the books are more helpful then the online resources. In the beginning i thought it would be easier to do the online resources but now I know that the books are much more helpful and much easier to use than the online resources. Thankfully we have one more day at the library so we can research about the books on thursday. 

Today we went to the library to do some research. I finished the book about jobs my third characteristic.  Then when i flipped through the pages and i saw that it had a page on religion my first characteristic so I started doing it and i thought that i wouldn't have enough time to finnish it but thankfully i did. Then by the end of the lesson i found a great book on education and i'll be working on it on the last day we have at the library (thursday).  

Today we went to the library to do some research. Last lesson i found a really good book that had a lot of good book that had a lot good information about my third characteristic which is jobs. I found it last lesson but i didn't have time to work on it so i worked on it this lesson. I nearly finished the book but i have a page left i only used it for half of the lesson because another student needed it so i was willing to give it to the student and I'm hoping to finish it next lesson.    

Tenth Day Of Researching

Today we went to the library to do some research. I found a really good book, it had a lot of information about education and religion. Its really good because it links the two characteristics together which is very important information I need to write the final essay. I found a book that 

a lot of good information about jobs my third characteristic. I couldn't work on it this lesson because there wasn't enough time so i'll take the book next lesson and work on it. 

Ninth Day Of Researching

Today we went to the library to do some research. I missed yesterdays lesson so i had to catch up. I found a really good about education. It tells you the ancient Romans language and what they wrote on and their writing instruments. Next lesson I will work on jobs because i still haven't worked on it yet. The problem with education is that i can't find out what schools the kids went to or how they were taught I'm hoping to fin that out.

Today i didn't go to school because i was ill. But i researched about education and religion. 

Seventh Day Of Researching

Today we went to the library to research, I'm still having a hard time finding a good book about education but hopefully i'll find a good book next lesson. I worked on religion this lesson and two classes in the library it was a little crowded, but because i focused on my work and i completed a lot this lesson. I'm hoping  that next lesson i find good books about my other two civilizations. 

Sixth Day Of Researching

Today we went to the library, it was a little crowded because there were two classes our class and Mr. Sparks class. We were all using the same books. I'm happy i chose rome because not a lot of people were doing it so i had a lot of books to choose from and i didn't need to rush. I tried to look for a book about education but there aren't that many. I found one but it wasn't very specific and it didn't only talk about education, it talked about education and government. I hope that next lesson i find a good book about education. 

Fifth Day Of Researching

Today we went to the library, The book i was working with last lesson was taken by another student so i had to pick another book. I tried to look for a book about education but it was really hard to find because there aren't that many. I found a really good book about religion it tells u all the gods and what they did. One of the librarians also took us and showed us how to do a bibliography using the computer with a website called easybib.com. She showed us how to use it and it's very easy to use and she really helped us.  

Fourth Day Of Researching

Today we didn't go to the library we stayed in class. Mrs. Fletcher came in and talked to us about how to summarize an article from a book. We had to summarize it and then write it in bullet points like we would write it in a power point. This really helped us so in the future we wouldn't just copy chunks of words and wouldn't understand what they mean. Now that i know how to do this it will make things much easier when I'm writing my essay or doing my power points.   

Third Day Of Researching

Today was our third day of researching, i got all my guiding question done for all three of my characteristics. The library was very crowded today because there was to classes in their so we had share all the book which was a bit difficult because to people wanted the same book. Thankfully in the end i got a lot of research done. I found a really good book about education today and it gives you a lot of information. I didn't start education today because there wasn't enough time, but I'm hoping to start it next lesson. I finished reading text in the book about religion and i summarized it.  

Second Day Of Researching

Today we went to the library again to research more about our ancient civilizations. Today i kept on researching about religion because i didn't finnish summarizing the text. I am nearly done religion and i hope that next lesson i can start on a different characteristic. I didn't do as much work as i could this lesson i could have done some more work if i focused some more i could have finished the text. I am really enjoying learning about ancient Rome and can't wait for our next lesson. I'm hoping that next lesson i'll work hard and try to get religion done and work on my other characteristic. 

First Day of Researching

Today was the first day of researching and we had to look at the books of the ancient civilizations and pick one. I chose Ancient Rome, well i wanted Ancient Egypt but too many people were doing that civilization so i couldn't do it. I am really interested in Ancient Rome to and I'm excited about researching about it. My three characteristics are education, religion and jobs. Today i focused on religion because i really good book about it so i decided to do it. I had a little trouble writing in bullet points but after a while i got the hang of it and I'm getting much better.
